# BOQ Sheet (Sample) – Quotation Pack (Guide + CSV)

A clear BOQ (Bill of Quantities) prevents scope creep, clarifies inclusions/exclusions,
locks item rates, and supports smooth billing. Share it with clients and vendors
along with your contract.

## Why Use a BOQ
- Defines scope and quantities line‑by‑line
- Fixes rates and reduces renegotiation at site
- Eases vendor comparisons and approvals
- Enables progressive billing and tax calculation
- Works as written proof in case of disputes

## Risks If You Don’t Share A BOQ
1. Scope creep → unpaid extra work
2. Verbal agreements → price disputes
3. Hidden‑cost allegations → miscommunication
4. No legal standing → difficult to recover dues

## What To Include
- Category (civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, etc.)
- Item of work and specifications/brand (where applicable)
- Units (sqft, rft, nos, set, m, LS)
- Measurements (qty or L×W×H) and computed quantity
- Rate (₹) and amount (₹)
- Notes/exclusions and dependencies
