# Vendor Agreement – Interior Project Template (Guide + Checklist)

A vendor agreement defines scope, quality standards, timelines, and payment terms with your contractors/vendors. It prevents scope creep, payment disputes, site chaos, and quality issues.

## Why Use a Vendor Agreement
- Clear scope & accountability; reduces “this wasn’t included” arguments
- Smooth payment flow with advance/progress/final terms
- Quality control with written standards and rework rights
- On‑time completion with fixed timelines and dependencies
- Legal protection with a signed document
- Better vendor relationships and higher client trust

## Risks Without an Agreement
- Scope confusion → rework and cost escalation
- Payment disputes and loss of leverage
- Delays and clashes (e.g., electrical before false ceiling)
- Quality drops → bad reputation
- Legal trouble without proof
- Stress and miscommunication
